This is a decently conceived and written story. It moves at a good pace and has enough twisty plot turns the the rather stale psychotic serial killer theme holds up. The characters are interesting and hold your interest throughout. You care at least a little about them and their fates. But. They are all too emotionally stunted. Anger seems to be their default emotion and you're left with all these scowling ill tempered tempered individuals. And then the two main characters are abruptly in love. With these communication skills their future s look pretty bleak. And so it goes. Sister Georgia is presented as some manic dervish reeling from some trauma I think but you never know. So, the characters feel kind of like cardboard and you never really bond with them. And, if I never read another book where the handsome hero charges into a perilous situation to rescue a hapless female j u st in time it will be too soon. Gag city. The editing of the text is pitiful and that really annoyed me. Doesn't anyone proofread a book anymore before publication? Dropped/missing words, misspelled words, incorrect character names for the scene, and worst of all dozens of his/her/him, their/there, your/you're errors do not make for a professional publication.
